The Rocky Mountain Harvard University Club is planning a second annual social event at Winter Park Resort on Friday, January 23, 2026.

 

This includes the Winter Park Ski Train, meeting as a group at Winter Park and a casual après ski event.

(You will need to purchase your own lift ticket or use your IKON pass.)

Location for Train: Denver Union Station, 7:00am departure
Location for Après Ski: Derailer Bar, West Portal Building

 

Train Times:

Departure: 7:00AM - The Ski Train departs from Denver Union Station at 7:00am and arrives at Winter Park Resort at 9:00am. 

Return: 6:40PM - Return departure from Winter Park at 4:30pm, arriving at Denver Union Station at 6:40pm, all Mountain Time.

 

This is a stress-free, scenic way to travel to ski at Winter Park.

* Skis are loaded in a separate baggage car and delivered on the platform in Winter Park Resort.  The train stays at Winter Park for the day.

* You can leave belongings on the train during the day but Amtrak and RMHUC will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.

 

Ski Train Ticket purchase in the RMHUC group:

$40   Early Bird for Members and their guests only ($45 after January 2, 2026)

$55   Early Bird Non-Member Purchase ($60 after January 2, 2026)

$25   Children (under 12) of Members (until January 22, 2026)

 

Tickets are for round trip, same day travel and are not refundable.

Ticket price includes light appetizers at Après Ski at Winter Park.

Tickets available until January 22, 2026 at noon MT.

If you plan to drive to Winter Park, and would like other information about the Ski Day at Winter Park, please RSVP by email to RMHUC

We will send you information as it is updated: Including meet up points on the hill and times for casual après ski.

 

Meet up information for Friday:

Meeting Points for Friday at Winter Park

(For all, including those planning to drive to Winter Park.)

1. Our target is 10:00am to meet at Sunspot Mountaintop Lodge (top of Gondola)

   • Here you can meet other skiers and make your arrangements to ski together, if you wish.  We will not be organizing groups in advance.

   • The organizers will be at Sunspot for a time window, but groups can head out when they are ready.

 

2. 2:30pm-4:00pm  Meet at Derailer Bar at the base of Arrow Lift, West Portal Building, for a casual après ski get-together. Light appetizers will be provided, however attendees are responsible for the cost of their additional food and drink.

Location: Second floor of West Portal Station in the Winter Park Base Area (near the base of Arrow Lift)

Those returning to Denver by train will need to make their way to the train station (5-minute walk)

 at 4:00pm
