From Aaron Harber:

THE AARON HARBER SHOW: YOUR DECISION 2023 ™

THE 2023 DENVER MAYORAL RACE

HISTORIC CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR NEW LEADERSHIP IN THE COMING DECADE

The April 4, 2023 Denver Mayoral Race (with a runoff date of June 6, 2023) presents a momentous opportunity for change and new leadership, given that it is the first time since Michael Hancock’s election in 2011 that there is no incumbent running for reelection. In addition, almost 50 candidates are running for City Council positions.

The City & County of Denver faces myriad challenges which the next Mayor – who may be in office for up to 12 years – will have to provide extraordinary leadership. Denver citizens are eager to know who the best person is for the job but face a challenging dilemma of 24 declared candidates already in the race.

As a public service to the entire Denver community, “The Aaron Harber Show ™” and PBS12 are producing and broadcasting a nonpartisan series of special programs with the theme of bringing the candidates to the people.

This television broadcast series, hosted by Aaron Harber, will be produced at PBS12 and at community forums throughout Denver, so voters can easily and conveniently engage with and see candidates “up close and personal,” while hearing them answer questions relevant to their neighborhoods and communities.

“The Aaron Harber Show: Your Decision 2023 ™” will have original broadcasts in Prime Time from 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm every Friday (two half-hour programs) beginning on February 24th on PBS12 (Colorado Public Television, Channel 12) with additional re-broadcasts on the following Sundays from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm (also two programs).

Both sets of programs will be broadcast as part of Channel 12’s Public Affairs block, which includes “Colorado Inside Out.”  In addition, the special election programs also will be on the PBS12.org Website and the PBS12 YouTube channel to maximize exposure.  All programming will be broadcast and available through the June 6th Run-Off Election.

The initiative will feature four “live” events to give citizens the opportunity to see and hear candidates in person. The free events will be open to the public. Each one will include Mayoral candidates and former Mayors (Wellington Webb as well as Denver Mayor Michael Hancock.

The Mayors will discuss their own challenges and legacies and will give their advice to Denver’s next Mayor regarding how to conduct the office as well as provide their vision for the future of the City & County of Denver.  They also will explore how Leadership concepts have changed so dramatically in recent years.
