It's back!!!  November 3-6, 2022

Between Thursday, November 3 and Sunday, November 6, get out and complete a 5k—your way! You can run or roll in your neighborhood, hike a favorite trail, go for a bike ride, or take a walk on a treadmill, for example. Are you ready to get moving?

Registration is easy. Just follow this link: https://alumni.harvard.edu/harvard-moves

Do I have to do a 5k?

If you’re not quite ready for a 5k or if you’re feeling ambitious—don’t sweat it! Feel free to complete whatever distance you’re comfortable with.

Harvard Moves was first staged two years ago as a way of drawing the global Harvard alumni community together during the pandemic-induced lockdowns. The impact was phenomenal which is borne out in the following statistics:

  • Over 2,500 participants
  • All 50 states and territories represented
  • A truly global turnout of almost 100 countries
  • Close to $70,000 raised towards financial aid (Harvard College Fund). Have a look at this video to see the impact of your giving: Harvard Moves: 5K Your Way | Harvard Alumni

People ran, walked, hiked, biked, boarded, rollerbladed and even swam. Most importantly, people had tons of fun and what drew us all together was that special feeling of being connected to a truly global alumni community. And now we have the chance to do it all over again.

If you participated previously why not do it again and ask a couple of friends to join you.

Please share this with your friends and networks.

Have fun. Enjoy the training and don’t forget to submit your photos and videos.

More than 1,700 Harvard community members from 74 countries and 49 states and U.S. territories have registered—and we expect that number to grow. (You can help by forwarding the registration link to friends!)

As you get ready for the event, here are a few helpful reminders. But first, if you haven’t already, now is a good time to choose a print-at-home racing bib.

Once you complete your 5k, be sure to share a selfie using the hashtag #HarvardMoves and tagging @harvardalumni. If you’re participating with other Harvard members in your area, post a group shot! Just make sure your profile is set to public if you’d like to be featured on the HAA page.
