"Climate Change in Our Backyard"

Please join us Wednesday, May 19 from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. for an online event about climate change, local and global.  In conjunction with the Fiske Planetarium at the University of Colorado Boulder, we will show the film “Climate Change in Our Backyard” followed by a presentation and discussion by Dr. John Keller, Director of the Fiske Planetarium, and Mike Nelson, Denver7 Chief Meteorologist and co-author with Dr. Pieter Tans and Michael Banks of “The World’s Littlest Book on Climate: 10 Facts in 10 Minutes about CO2.”

After an introduction by Dr. Keller, the short film will illuminate the story of how and why our climate is changing and the impact on us in Colorado.  We will then have about 30 minutes for comment by and discussion with our distinguished guests, including topics such as the recent record wildfires and drought in the West.
 

Participants who sign up prior to the event will receive a free copy of the e-book “The World’s Littlest Book on Climate: 10 Facts in 10 Minutes about CO2,” which can be obtained on Amazon Kindle.  On May 19 we will send, to those who RSVP, instructions about how to join the event and obtain the Kindle e-book at no cost.  We hope to see you there!
