Dale Peterson
1965-2015
Dale Eldon Peterson, 50, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep at his home in Denver, Colorado, on May 19, 2015. He was born in Lindsborg, Kansas, graduated from Harvard University in 1988, and first worked as a management consultant for William Kent International. He held senior management positions in the furniture division of Pottery Barn and subsequently, as a Vice President of Martha Stewart Omnimedia, worked with Martha Stewart in the development, design, and sourcing of her inaugural furniture line. He later formed his own company and became an independent product designer of furniture and lighting products for several major international companies.
Dale cherished his family, and his family cherished him. His family filled him with joy. His intelligence, creativity, and sense of humor were outmatched only by the depth of his faith, integrity, compassion, love, and kindness. He was a treasured friend, loved and respected by all who knew him. He enriched the lives of all around him, and his spirit will live in the hearts of those who had the privilege of being with him in this life. He is survived by his beloved wife, Dr. Michelle Klem, their four year old twin sons, Samuel Walden and Oliver Lee, and their twenty-two month old daughter, Elizabeth Lee. He is also survived by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Walden Peterson, his brothers Mark (Joyce) and Ralph (Sue), of Lindsborg, Kansas; his seven nephews; his aunt; his several cousins; the entire family of his wife; and a host of friends.
