The pre-concert talk: RMHUC members will have special access to an exclusive pre-concert talk with the artists, Tessa Lark, Yura Lee, Margaret Dyer Harris, Nicholas Phan, Ieva Jokūbavičiutė, Stephanie Cheng, David Requiro, Meta Weiss, Alice Yoo, and Matthew Zalkind, at no additional cost with ticket purchase.

The pre-concert talk will be held in Hamilton Hall prior to the concert.

After the concert, members will have the opportunity to meet and greet the artists!
 

Performance: Please join fellow alumni for the Denver Chamber Music Festival 2026 season finale! Folk traditions, chamber music favorites, and a brand new world premiere come together in this wide-ranging final concert. Irish song settings by Beethoven and Rebecca Clarke highlight the expressive connection between melody and text, followed by a cello-quartet arrangement of Rachmaninoff that draws out the instrument’s darker, more resonant character. After intermission, a new cello quartet by Tessa Lark receives its world premiere. Mendelssohn’s Octet will end the program, a cornerstone of the chamber music repertoire and a fitting grand finale to DCMF 2026. 

The Denver Chamber Music Festival Finale, “Ireland, Appalachia, and Mendelssohn,” featuring the world premiere of Tessa Lark's Cello Quartet; selected Irish Songs by Ludwig von Beethoven; Three Irish Country Songs by Rebecca Clarke; selections from Sergei Rachmaninoff's Etudes-Tableaux (arranged for cello quartet by David Requiro); and Felix Mendelssohn's Octet in E-flat Major, Op. 20.
