This event is sold out.

Ed, Downloaded

The Rocky Mountain Harvard University Club and the Colorado Yale Association are joining forces to offer a unique opportunity to Colorado Harvard and Yale alums. Here is the Denver Center's publicity synopsis:

"Both live action and feature film, this intriguing comedy tells the story of Ed, who is dying. Given a chance at immortality, he has his brain downloaded and is allowed ten memories to take into eternity. But when his wife discovers what they are, she intervenes."

Ed, Downloaded is written by Michael Mitnick (AB '06, and MFA '10 in Playwriting from the Yale School of Drama.  Its extensive visual effects are being designed and executed by Denver native and the DCTC's resident guru for visuals and projections, Charlie Miller (AB '08).  (Charlie's official title is "resident video designer".  Ed, Downloaded is his 12th production with the DCTC in four seasons.)

The evening looks like this:

5:00   Refreshments (hors d'oeuvres, wine, beer, non-alcoholic) and informal conversation
  5:30
Introduction to Ed, Downloaded with Charlie Miller and Michael Mitnick (and perhaps more)
  6:30   Final Dress Rehearsal Curtain
  TBD
Talkback with Charlie, Michael, and perhaps more following the rehearsal

All this for only $35.00!  (Single ticket prices after opening are $57 / $47.  If you like the play, you may wish to return during the regular run to see what may have been changed between the 10th and the 18th.)

Also having a world premiere on January 25 is Grace, or the Art of Climbing written by Lauren Feldman (Cornell AB '01, MFA '08 in Playwriting from the YSD) and directed by Mike Donahue (Harvard AB '05, and MFA '08 in Directing from YSD).  This production, in the Space Theatre, features live climbing.  We hope that Lauren and Mike will be able to visit with us prior to the dress rehearsal of Ed, Downloaded.
